Global Ambassador Scholarship (£3,000) for International Students at Aston University

Aston University is known for its friendly campus community with students from over 120 different countries. As an Aston student you’ll be better prepared for your future career from having shared your classroom with international students from all over the world.
Aston University has a proud network of Global Ambassadors, made up of international students who share their story and experience of studying at Aston with others around the world.
Global Ambassadors represent Aston University in many different ways, such as attending events and Open Days, making videos and posting on social media, and speaking to people about what life is like as an international student at Aston.
The Global Ambassador scholarship of £3,000 is for students who want to be the future face of Aston University. The university is looking for 25 students who can represent them on the global stage and tell future generations of students what Aston is like. You will be proud, passionate and a great communicator. You must be a keen user of social media with ambitions to become an international social media influencer. As well as receiving the scholarship, you will also be given priority consideration for paid work with the international marketing and recruitment team, which will provide valuable work experience.
How much is this scholarship worth?
Successful applicants will be awarded £3,000 to help with tuition fees. Successful applicants are required to become a Global Ambassador and will help to represent Aston University flexibly alongside their studies.
As well as receiving the scholarship, you will also be given priority consideration for paid work with the international marketing and recruitment team, which will provide valuable work experience.
Who can apply?
International students from any country (including the EU). This scholarship is available for students applying to all undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes (excluding the MBA).

Please note, postgraduate research students are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
What type of student is likely to receive this scholarship?
Aston University welcomes students from all backgrounds. This scholarship will be awarded to students who demonstrate the enthusiasm, pride and ability to represent Aston University and share their experience with others.
How do I apply?
To apply you will need to log into your My Aston Portal (MAP) account, where you will find a link to the scholarship application form. Details on how to access your MAP account can be found in your offer email.
Please create a 1 minute video to answer the question – “Why did you choose to study at Aston University?’
- To ensure a fair application process, if your video is longer than 1 minute we will only consider the first 1 minute of the video.
- Please upload your video to YouTube (or an alternative platform such as Bilibili if YouTube is not available in your country) and submit the link on the ‘Global Ambassador Scholarship application’ page on My Aston Portal (MAP).
When is the deadline?
For courses starting in September 2021, the deadline to apply for this scholarship is:
Round 1: Monday 15th March
Round 2: Monday 31st May
Round 3: Monday 19th July
